Amongst his several noteworthy contributions as President of the Ahmedabad Red Cross for 11 eventful years (2011 to 2012), he is fondly remembered for his pioneering role in creating the modern infrastructure and state of the art facilities by raising significant financial resources for the Ahmedabad Red Cross Blood Programme, his passionate zeal in organizing Blood Donor Recognition and Award Functions instilling a distinct sense of pride and fulfillment in every Blood Donor and his vision and creativity in conceiving the Mascot ‘Sherdil’ and Blood Donation Anthem ‘Raktdaan Chhe Jeevandaan.’
